^Embarrassed Bear in mind it's not the junk of his new stuff, ugh, that's horrible....jukeboxDead

This compilation features his early stuff, not that it's any of interest for proggers, but it's not really bad. Good pop music, that's for sure.

Stone Temple Pilots remind me of Soundgarden at times. But otherwise they sound pretty original IMO

Yep I've dug it out as well.  Good stuff but I still prefer the 1st one which is a ground breaking album and more consistent.  Big smile

Yep, it was "Purple" by Stone Temple Pilots. Tongue
And i will check those out some time. I'll also check out Mudhoney, Temple of the dog & Mother Love Bone Big smile
The Grunge-mood continues:

Too bad VS was a bit of a dissapointment to me. Though it was still a good album.

I agree, VS is pretty much a step down to Ten, though at least it's thousands times better than VitalogyDead
However songs like Dissident, Rats, Blood and Leash are pretty worthwhile, don't you think?

How someone as awesome as Blackmore could produce such cheesy radio-friendly rock is beyond my understanding!
But it's kinda enjoyable anyway Embarrassed
