Topic: Malformed browser request Posted: April 23 2009 at 16:30 |
I'm getting this error on any page on PA except for the home page in Firefox, it's okay in IE. Anyone else getting this?
www.progarchives.com had a problem - Web Server thinks your Browsers request was malformed or contained bad syntax

I didn't have any problems with Firefox 3 until last night. I'll check when I get home tonight.

Usually when something like this happens it is because of a poorly-designed webpage. Maybe Max was doing some behind the scenes work at the time...

Sounds more like a sql-injection/cross-scripting prevention technique installed by M@x, which looks at the requests and tries to identify malicious ones.

Yes guys, Mr Progfreakis right !
There is a running script that prevent malfromed URL or HEADERS to prevent SQL Injections. There is some keywords analyzed in the URL and HEADERS (cookies) that are found in his query and thus blocked.
I'll check in the LOGS to make sure correct words are not block...
I'll keep you posted.
Max

^ well, today I encountered it once when I was on the active topics page and selected "2 Hours" from the dropdown. That request couldn't really have been malformed though ...

Man, I was hoping this would be a thread where I could get a malformed browser. So, for those who have tried many different browsers, which one is the most malformed?
