Topic: Best live album Posted: April 06 2009 at 13:33 |
There is no rhyme nor reason to the albums selected for this poll, just some of my favourites. Of this list, which one is your favourite? Or, if I have not selected your first choice from the bands or artists, which one should be on there? For example, should Live be there instead of Seconds Out? Or, if there is an outstanding live LP from an artist not on the list, who is it and what is the LP?

Some very strong albums in the list, so it wasn't very easy to choose. Anyway, my vote went to JT's Bursting Out, with Yessongs as a runner-up.

My favorite is Gentle Giant's "Playing the Fool". From the list, "Bursting Out" & "Yessongs".

ABB- Live at the Filmore is an outright masterpiece, by far and away the finest American live rock album . Wishbone Ash-Live Dates, Tangerine Dream- Ricochet, Yes- Live in Montreux, PTree- Warszawa, IQ- Stage, Colin Bass- Live Polskie Radio, Blackmore's Night-Paris Moon, Blue Oyster Cult- On your Feet..., Galahad- Resonance live in Poland,Gong-Live, Steve Hillage-Live Herald, Hawkwind- Live Chronicles, Iona- Live in London, Tony Levin Band- Double Expresso, Traffic- On the Road, Uriah Heep-Live 1973 are a few very good ones , not mentioned.
