It's been a while since I've done one of these.

You get Rush to perform a concert for you and your friends for two hours.  And YOU get to choose the set list.  Two hours, though- then they're out.  What would be your ultimate Rush set list?

*Brain explodes*

If I get lazy halfway through, I'll just copy + paste songs that I actually heard them perform live.LOL

La Villa Strangiato. That'll just about cut it for me

Seriously, I'm gonna think about this one...

No it isn't. One epic in each part, plus lot of short ones make up an hour each part.

Of course, I haven't actually done the math.

I did for you.  At a minimum that's about 140 minutes.  Wink  Your first part may be only about 60 minutes, but you have a 30 minute epic and two 9 minute songs in the second part.

^ I think if you take off another two or three fivers, you're there dude!  I misunderestimated (my Bush-ism for the evening) the time of your concert.  It was actually closer to 150 minutes.

1. Bastille Day (4.5)
2. Working Man* (5)
3. Xanadu (11)
4. Entre Nous (4.5)
5. Camera Eye (11)
6. Losing It (5)

Intermission

7. Circumstances (3.5)
8. Red Barchetta (6)
9. Cygnus X-1 Book II* (14)
10. The Trees (5)
11. La Villa Strangiato + various displays of virtuosity (16)
12. Anthem (4.5)
13. Natural Science (9.5)

Encore:
2112 (20.5)

* indicates a shortened version of the song

That was tough. I'm glad I don't know much of their 1984-2002 stuff otherwise the paradox of choice would have struck even harder. My first go at this brought the setlist to right about 3 hours. I had to make some sacrifices that I would surely regret if I actually had to pick a 2 hour setlist for them.

Open Secrets
Territories
--INTERMISSION--
Red Lenses
Red Tide
Red Barchetta

YYZ (4.5)

Fly By Night (3.5)

Closer to the Heart (3)

The Necromancer (12.5)

The Spirit of Radio (5)

Malignant Narcissism (3)

Bastille Day (4.5)

Xanadu (11)

2112 (20.5)

La Villa Strangiato (9.5)

Cygnus X-1 Book II (18)

Tom Sawyer (4.5)

With science, you can turn a frog into a Ph.D. and you still have the frog you started with.
