Well,I was listening yesterday to CODA's ''Sounds of passion'',which contains a beautiful 30+ min. long suite. It flows nice and easily with these great orchestral arrangements and the strong melodies....and I'm aware of many many amazing 20 min. or 25 min. long epics...

...but I was wondering...Which is the longest single track in progressive rock history?...
...or,if not the longest,I would like to search for tracks over-to say-35-40 minutes...

waiting for your information/recommendations...

take care...

Just to mention three that I instantly thought of
Mike Oldfield's Amarok - a few seconds over 60 minutes I think
Hostsonaten's title track from the self titled debut - 41 minutes
Beardfish's Sleeping In Traffic - 35 minutes

I don't think two- or multiple-parts epics count in this case.

yeah... any twit can piece song fragments into a long piece... what about a long 'song'  Sure some electronic composer holds this record.  In fact I remember hearing there was an 80 minute (or longer) piece out there somewhere.

But that doesn't count because the last 20 minutes are vinyl noise.
