As I've been reviewing the Yes studio albums, I have, of course, been listening to a fair bit of it recently.

Having just played Homeworld, I seem to remember from an interview with the band that it was, in fact, the soundtrack to a PC or video game.

Does anyone know what it was, and whether it was any good?

The game was "Homeworld." It's a great strategy game and I'm surprised it didn't get more recognition.

Hey - thanks very muchClap

I've now traced it and will probably get it and give it a go - it seems to have won a fair few awards.

It's quite old now, but very very good, a bit like Sins of a Solar Empire.
I'd also recommend the expansion pack, Cataclysm, I think it's called.
Although it's quite a while back now, I remember being surprised that although I was listening out for it, I never actually heard the song Homeworld playing.

Homeworld (the song) was included as a track seperate from the game (albeit with some nice visuals.)  Incidentally, the sound track for the game itself was very spacey and very good for a video game.

The game itself wasn't bad but it was overly difficult and the interface was a bit awkward.  Just found my old disc of it and I'm wondering if I should see if I can fire it up on Vista or not.
