I thought I heard May somewhere but I can't find the link so maybe my memory made that up.

BLD is a rather tedious album.  I used to love it, but then I got over the fact that it's a Kayo Dot album and I find it hard to sit through now.

It's unfortunate.

hes baaaaacck....

lol nice to see you around again pnoom.
I like about half of the songs on BLd. the first 3 are very good but after that they just fall off. Symmetrical Arizona is nice but its still not better than the first three songs. 3 stars. maybe 3 1/2
Choirs = more than just a five star rating
dowsing = ****1/2

There are people who prefer Dowsing or BLD over Choirs? Nonsense!

Choirs is one of the greatest albums of all-time, as far as I'm concerned. I love most of Dowsing (especially Immortelle, and to a lesser extent, Aura), but the second half is a bit tough to enjoy in its entirety. I have to agree with Pnoom! about BLD, for the most part. It has its moments, and it sounds phenominal, but ultimately I get little out of it.

Too bad for you Pnoom, I still think BLD is their best. Not at all hard to sit through (or tedious).

I remember you as someone with interesting tastes and opinions. But I also remember an old thread where you presented some 90's albums you love, that never left a strong impression on me like: Screamadelica, Loveless and Blue Lines. I never really cared strongly for any of the genres they represent either, I guess.

What was the point of that?

I want a new Maudlin! On the subject of BLD, it's not bad, but it's one of the biggest musical disapointments of my life...

Well I like a bunch of avant-garde, so we overlap there, but I'm also into all sorts of "hipster garbage," so we probably differ there.

Even though I full well know that its Waits I always associate the avatar with you in real life. So I pretty much picture you as the most badass looking guy ever.

Ha, yep, I was thinking the exact same thing, especially when it's a picture of a person as in this case. Also, I am in fact a reverse centaur.
