A bit dismissed by its creators...Signals is my third favorite 80's Rush album. (Moving Pictures and Permanent Waves being above) It's full of fantastic songs...but the song that really MOVES ME...is ANALOG KID great song... Wink

Great album, and my vote goes to 'Subdivisions' as I was such a 'dreamer' and a 'misfit' at school, when I first heard the album..

I remember when Signals was released, there was outcry from many who thought Rush had "sold out".  I was pretty much alone in that I loved Signals, and even now I consider it one of my fave Rush albums.

The Weapon is great, but my choice just has to be Subdivisions, what an awesome track.

Nice poll Yorkie X by the way.  It's good to see a less popular album in the spotlight.

Neither does New World Man!

Disappointing, because that song got me through some tough times.

Subdivisions. And I especially love it's live version from A Show Of Hands.Clap

i can't possibly make a choice here. i love the entire album.
ah, what the heck, “subdivisions“, an obvious choice from me,
what a magnificent song.
progressive rock and rural tranquility don't match. true or false?

Back and forth between Analog Kid and Losing It, both excellent songs but different ends of the emotional spectrum--in the end I voted energy over melancholy.

I remember my mom walking into the family room back in 1982 when I was listening to Losing It.  Sublime, I'm thinking.  She says, "This isn't music!"  Ahh, memories . . .

'Losing It' though it's close, but those heartfelt lyrics and Ben Mink's weeping electric violin

I love Signals. The only weak parts are Chemistry and Countdown. I went with Losing It because it's so sadly beautiful. The sublime lyrics match perfectly with the music.  No contest although there are plenty of other gems on this album.
Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal.

Digital Man is one of my favorite Rush songs.

All of these are fantastic though.
