I can only create topics, but not polls, yet I see a few of them around.

You can't. The ones you have seen were moved, surely.

Well you can in General Music Discussions, but it's not really the same.

Well, there's a sub-section caled Prog Polls too.

Yes, but he's asking about the Prog-Related forum and though others have done it and had their polls moved to Prog-Related, it's not good to do "Prog-Related polls" in "Prog Polls".

The later ones were moved, but you used to be able to make polls in the Proto-Prog and Prog-Related Lounge. I made one there myself before.

I think this is an oversight, you should be able to make polls in the PR/PP forum.

Simple solution for the time being is to open your Poll in the polls section then immediately PM an Admin and ask them to move it for you.
What?

Is there still the problem that when a poll has been moved you can't vote in it anymore?

Yes, if it's moved to the wrong section.

Still seem to be able to vote in them OK. Dean's solution is best meanwhile. There's not a great demand for polls for PR/PP anyway.
