I read about your snow in those parts and how it basically paralyzes everyone.  Pretty funny to someone who has dealt with it all his life Wink.  I assume the rugby match will be played in the mud?

You're right...it's a little pathetic that a few inches of snow can cause so much disruption.

I don't think Scotland (Edinburgh) is too bad at the moment, It's other parts of England that may be affected worse. There may also be rain / thaw by Sunday so I'm hopeful the game goes ahead. Had it been in Cardiff there would have been no problem, as the stadium has a roof that they can close!

Like Darkshade, just found the thread and had a look - some good stuff in thereSmile

I sometimes choose to walk to work & back just to get some sounds in - it's a 10-min drive or a 50=min walk, so perfect for an album each way.

Dunno how you do it but I normally play something like Tangerine Dream, Gong or even Legendary Pink Dots on the way out and the nastiest, most evil metal I can find on the way back.

'Cos I have to walk down a muddy railway track I use a cheap 1gb Zen stone mp3 in case I drop it! I just take stuff on and off as I feel like it. Surprise surprise, none of the other guys at work like prog so I rarely get a look-in on the sound system. Never run out of battery, tho!

Good luck and I'll check what you're playing. For me today: Wolf City out, Holy Diver back.
It's not that I can't find worth in anything, it's just that I can't find worth in enough.

Thanks for the comments guys. I've around 3 and 1/2 hours in total, so I can get through quite a lot. It's all stored on a 160 gig iPod classic, though I allow myself the luxury of listening through a nice pair of headphones Shure SE-530 (cost more than the iPod) so it all sounds pretty good, and most of the outside noise is cancelled out. So for today:

Love Hate Round Trip - Araknamés (2006) Eclectic Prog (Italy) [3.84]

So - Peter Gabriel (1986) Crossover Prog (United Kingdom) [3.88]

The Old Man And The Sea - The Old Man And The Sea (1972) Crossover Prog (Denmark) [3.50]

Obras De Violeta Parra - Los Jaivas (1984) Prog Folk (Chile) [4.21]

Doomsday Afternoon - Phideaux (2007) Crossover Prog (United States) [4.24]
