AREA 39 LOOKING FOR MUSICIANS FOR LIVE WORK.

Hi, im Ray turrell and in the new year im looking to take AREA 39 on the road, im giving up the 9 to 5 to put some time into getting AREA 39 noticed around the UK.

Im looking for musicians who would like to give it a shot with me, all positions are open at the moment (drummer, keys, 2x guitarist and vocals) also stage crew could be needed but that’s another add for another time.

Anyone interested can hear mp3s at www.myspace.com/area39 and contact me at [email protected]

Im looking for like minded musicians with a pro outlook into playing live around the country.

Thanks for your time.

Ray Turrell (AREA 39)

Wrong country- but I love the samples up on myspace. Are these just stand alones or part of some concept?

you kidding me? people willing to quit their 9-5 jobs in the name of art ? it's not 1969 anymore. people aren't cool like that today. People's operating system (culture) has been so homogenized that the thought of just quitting and sticking your thumb out is almost prehistoric.

I'd do it if I were in your country, but I do think the interviews and the like is a little too close to floyd. but its good. Reminds me also of Alan Parsons.

Im still not having any luck with this at all.

If  i cant do it here i would be keen on a one off show at the open air venue in Grant Park, Chicago.

Any USA players up for doing a one off AREA 39 gig in Chicago ?

I went over a few weeks ago and fell in love with the venue and would love to do a one off show supporting another band at this venue.

Any one ?

I live (and work) in NYC.  I'm very handy at picking up what I hear, and the music on your myspace page is easy to understand (not a put down mind you, just saying it isn't crazy jazz shred rock or something tougher to pick up).  I play bass, drums and guitar.

But things are kind of re-ordering in my life right now, and I don't yet know if I can commit to/afford something like this.  I thought I'd reply though so we stay in touch.  Our last emperor and his minions really quite upset the apple cart here, to understate it, and one finds himself needing to take stock of things.

I assumed originally (wrote "wrong country" in an earlier post) that you meant touring the UK.  If you should consider the States, and especially if it were close by for me, I'd certainly discuss further.  Don't get me wrong, I'd love to tour if it were possible, but I know that I'd return to no job and I can't take that risk this moment.  In any event I wish you luck.

Why must my spell-checker continually underline the word "prog"?
