BTW,
Phideaux.

Listen and learn. There's something in his music that just gets me on an emotional level every time. A few duds, but generally very high quality. Chupacabras (the song) is a masterpiece.

I've been intrigued by Phideaux for a while now and the sample on PA was very good.

I'm definitely going to pick up some stuff when I add new music to my collection. I need to get through more of the items I have but haven't heard first.

I may have to do that soon.

Need to hear Egg and some others before that though. May do that after this album.

Hounds Of Love is awesome, particularly Running Up That Hill (just SUCH a good song).

Currently listening to TMO's debut, and finding new subtleties, and (well may you sneer) writing a review Big smile.

yeah, Phideaux's good. Doomsday Afternoon's the only one I've got atm.

TMO?

Aha!

Mahavishnu Orchestra.

I never got hooked on Birds of Fire. Somewhat cold, spastic and stressful music. Colourful, yes. Soulful, no. Imagine the surprise when Inner Mounting Flame was an almost instant hit, when I decided to give the band a second chance.

Inner Mounting Flame is the cookie, in my opinion. Birds Of Fire's a bit more aggressive, but not as interesting for me. At least, the jazzier pieces there don't work so well for me.

I've only heard The Inner Mounting Flame so far.  Plus I did hear a track from his Raga rock album too.

Hmm, I'm not happy with my '90s choice for Album of the Decade.

I just cannot think of anything else for the moment... there must be a '90s avant-prog album somewhere I've forgotten about...

OOooh wait, Dun - Eros or maybe Kultivator's Bardomens Stigar... bollocks!

Mike, you got your cards yesterday and I'm really interested in some of them. Smile

Let me look back and see which ones I wanted for sure.

I quite like that cover of Hounds of Love.  No idea why I did, mind you.

Hmm, I've just remembered I've been to Terezin in the Czech Republic and believe I have a photo similar to this:

But it maybe the other entrance and thus, without the well known German phrase.

Very odd place.  Not surprising really though.

He's been really busy, especially during the week, but he gave out a bunch of cards yesterday.
