Oh and I've not really heard much Moodies after A Question of Balance except an '90s album my father has.

Just looked it up "Sur le Mer".  I think he has "Keys to the Kingdom" as well.

You've missed two Rush albums in that time.

I've seen a bunch of their later albums in bargain bins and decided not to touch them LOL

I liked Sur le Mer and Keys to the Kingdom when I was in my teens... not sure if I'd like them now or not.

I've seen then live too.

You have to bear in mind also that Justin Hayward went to my school.  He also went to school with my old music teacher.

So I have a soft spot for him.

A brief summary:

I still cannot cope with the vocals and the lyrics, so much of it washes over me.

The music is pretty good.  Book I is better than Book II though and I agree with David on this.  In fact, I may just prefer AFtK to Hemispheres right now.

Yet having said that, what I'm listening to now is superior.

That's understandable.

I like Book II more, but I love them both.

Book II doesn't do much until well over half-way.  Book I is more interesting throughout.
