Meh. The instruments are the most important part of music anyway. And the instruments on Hemispheres kick major ass.

Ugh, that pile of dishes will take me at least an hour. I'll get there eventually. I'm just wrapping up "Hounds Of Love" right now before I put on that album that I'll be reviewing tonight. James, I was holding Robert Wyatt's 1985 album (can't remember the name) and I put it back because I didn't know if it would be a good purchase. Was that a crime?

Not a crime no, 'cause I don't have it either. I don't have any of his '80s albums. I do want Old Rottenhat though.

Oh, it's picking up now... It just sort of goes nowhere... Book I is rather varied and more innovative. Book II gets better towards the end though.

I've only have/have heard Wyatt's first 3 solo albums. I think you can figure out which one I think is the best though.

both of you go check my buys in the purchase thread Prof showed me Ommadawn last time I was back home and it was pretty... unmemorable for me. If I want some Oldfield I usually go for Bells or 5 Miles out.

I tried Ommadawn and wasn't captivated. And now I'm going to lay some hard truth on you all. Christian Vander claims Mike Oldfield stole some of his musical ideas for Tubular Bells.

The intro to Book I is cheesy, mind you. My Pat/Ryan/Mrs Pat joke just got funnier because I didn't realise the part I quoted was in that voice.

Bird of Fire is an excellent choice (not quite as good as Inner Mounting Flame IMO though) and so is Fates Warning's APSOG. I have yet to hear the other three though.
