I really think I should start up another last.fm account so I can truly show people what I listen to. The only problem is it would be such a wide range of stuff everyone would call me a traitor.

Who cares what other people think?

Go for it.

Lets see if this works...

Add me if you get it to work. I'm MovingPictures7.

It's because you don't understand the lyrics, Alex.  Not only that, but how clever his wording is and how he fits it to the music.

I'd love to hear you sing like Hammill and write as well as him.

I don't want to sing like Hammill; I don't intend to repeat what already has been done.

And I obviously don't understand the lyrics. They baffle me; they're incredibly childish. But that's all because I have a certain frame of reference that is entirely different than yours.

Yep, the childish Ayn Rand. Wink

You say that like it's a fact.

I like Akerfeldt's voice too, but you can't prove anything. What's the whole point of this discussion?

If they baffle you, how can they be childish?

Surely if they're childish, you'd understand them?

Please tell me you're joking, even if you hate Dagmar Krause.

One of those people can actually sing without the help of studio processing.

Hammill is indeed better.

Think what you want; I'm not going to continue a mudslinging fest.

I meant as a composer and his growling style (I can actually hear words, unlike most death metal vocalists).  Plus his clean vocals are excellent.

How hard is it to understand that they don't strike a chord with me at all?

They're unintelligent and CHILDISH. Seriously, read the lyrics to Killer and tell me they're not absolutely god-awful. Stern Smile

Hello.

Pale Nudes?  Don't have anything by them.

Didn't Denio do vocals for The Science Group?  I think I have something by them.

There are heaps of growlers that can do understandableing growls, you just haven't heard enough death metal.
But yeah, masterful composer, no doubt.

I'm listening to The Science Group now.

The (ec) Nudes and Pale Nudes are pretty much the same band... both have Denio in them.  Wadi Gysi plays guitar in both too, I think.  I don't think Cutler is in Pale Nudes.  I'll have to check.
