Pat, I have learned today of an album which features Peter Brotzmann and John Zorn. It is called Berlin Djungle, and it's on emusic. Woah.

Damn.  And I just burned through all my downloads getting Sun Ra.  Well, I have a few left, maybe I can at least grab some tracks.

I should get some more Sun Ra. Although really I need to get some more everything.

Berlin Djungle is one of those beautiful 2 track albums, so you may be covered!

By the way, I am getting sick of AMG's constant timeouts and inability to say anything bad about something other than random albums from famous artists and Nickelback. Do you know of a better review source?

For example, the Brotzmann description attacks a lot of unnamed free jazz saxophonists, yet I've never seen them say that about one. The closest I've come is them wondering why Ivo Perelman is famous, but they still say he's all right.

So Dean said in the gender under name thread that there are two regular female avant fans, but I have no idea who that is. I remember listennow801 with the KOENJIHYAKKEI avatar, but she's gone.

It's just weird because I thought I knew most of the big fans around here.

Might as well get me some HC eventually then.

Melissa (song_of_copper) is an avant fan who visits frequently enough - don't really know the other person to whom Dean was referring.

it doesn't surprise me you like UZ Harry, as radical as they are they have much structure and deliberate arrangements.. HC is generally more wild and spontaneous

It's badass.
