Ah, well, it's going to be fun arranging it all once the big things are sorted (date, venue, etc.).  I'm glad to say it's going to be pretty simple - c. 50 guests in total probably!   Happily, my fiancé is not the kind of person who gets easily stressed or obsessed with minutiae, which is a huge relief.  (The guy I was with before him was a dreadful nitpicker, which made life rather difficult at times!!)

Oh yes, the stuff I ordered from Wayside just shipped too!  So I have a package to look forward to, yay.

Haha, yes, there are a lot of teachers like that out there - nice, interesting people, but more likely to talk about something irrelevant (or repeat themselves a whole lot) than actually... teach you anything.

I had a German teacher at school who once spent an entire double lesson rambling on about Helmut Kohl and how his surname means 'cabbage'.   Another time she claimed to be a Polish countess.

Thanks Alex!   Yes, having seen what some people do for weddings (...do people really go so far as to buy 'stand in rings' for the rehearsal? ), I think finding a nice hotel in the country and only inviting people who actually care is the way to go.
