I've worked in fast food for 8-years, used to be an assistant general
manager and now I'm just a closing grunt because while I was going
through school I didn't want to be tied down to managerial duties.
Of course, I'm doing other stuff during the weekends which I would
rather call "my job" - and I'm hoping to get an e-mail any day now that
will tell me that I can finally quit my crappy day (or night, rather)
job.
The girlfriend can be annoying at times - but she's ultimately great to
have around. I've been with her for... I guess we'll be going on 4
years soon!
Anyways, good for you for getting away from those things and moving on - best of luck!

Good luck at getting the new job, fast food is on the supermarket level of suckiness (depends on the store and position, though). My friend went from 4-5 years at McDonalds to working at Lowe's, and is making almost twice the money and much prefers it. I knew some night crew workers back at the supermarket, the pay is better, and you don't have to deal with customers (at least there), but it really turns you into a zombie. Of course, I'd prefer that to annoying customers shelling out 50 coupons, with half of them not working, etc etc. Even Best Buy, Target, or something would be good to work at, I think. I tried to work at this pet store, but I don't think they hired guys. Anyway, dentist time. bye!

Have fun with the Dentist - last time I went there he just told me to floss and keep flossing
I know that I could be making a lot more money somewhere else. Actually
if this job prospect falls through I'm going to be applying to the
casino which is right by me. That'd be very... interesting! To say the
least.
Anyways, I must be off for now, I've got an interview in about 5 minutes

Not bad, my parents and sister are visiting this weekend. How's school going?
|
That's cool. School... haha, mixed, that's for sure. It's good to be back... my Micro class has a very good teacher, but it's Econ. (me being the Accountant I am, I'm not the biggest advocate of Keynesian economics or economic assumptions) and I already know alot about it. My Managerial Accounting class looks like it will be difficult, and I definitely know which field I'm going into (I heavily prefer Financial), and my Honors and Psychology courses are really intriguing. Business Law teacher, well, sucks, so that class is going to be a DRAG. Jazz class absolutely rocks; I love it. It's been somewhat enjoyable, somewhat of a pain, some classes easily more than others. It looks like I will have alot less time this semester than I did last semester too, as the workload has gone up a notch or two. Nonetheless, I'm doing well.

Declan Burke, lead singer of Frost* - but he was supposed to call half an hour ago. Ah well, not the first time this has happened (first time with him, but there have been other bands which I've had to try 4 or 5 times to get on th phone, no names named.), just have to wait for an e-mail from his press agent now.

Yeah, for the most part. It's still a bit weird making the adjustment from having to do absolutely NOTHING over 3 1/2 weeks of break to my first week in another semester with a higher workload, but that's just a matter of time.

That's 1/5th of my life Pretty good considering we've been dating longer than any other couple (our age) that we know. OH! Except for our friends, the lesbian couple, who really hate each other, but really do (somewhere) love each other and have been together for 6 years.
