5.1 mixes seemed to be pretty well recieved. So far as prog goes, we got the Moody's Days Of Future Passed, ELP's BSS, Floyd's Dark Side, Yes's Fragile and Zappa's Halloween concert out now. At least those are the ones I know of, and they sound great.

So what other titles you think should be released? Me myself would like to see the early Crimson titles done. Especially the Bruford-Wetton era ones. I can just hear Bill's wood-blocks and bells just popping-up around the room. More Zappa mixes certainly would be interesting as well.

Aren't all those releases only compatible with a certain type of machine?

I recently got 5.1 and Aero by JMJ and I want more dammit!

I may as well make a wee list actually while i'm here.

All the beatles albums!
Sf sorrow
Odessy and oracle
PG genesis albums

Oxygene and equinoxe(not just bits of them)

I'd personally love to remix all the beatles albums...just to stereo though.

Right now you can get hybrid players like mine that support all the digital formats, DVD-A, SACD, CD-R, DVD-R etc. And they're pretty inexpensive. Mine only cost $150 US. It's a Sony and I love it.

It should. Is it Dolby Digital, DTS or SACD? Just make sure your amp is capable for one or all of these formats. and make sure yor DVD is connected to your amp digitally by way of fiber-optic or coaxial. Analog RCA jacks won't work for 5.1. Any questions, feel free to send a pers. mess. to me.

If that Wakeman disc is an SACD, you need to have a special player for those. And that would be an analog 5.1 foremat which is comprised of 6 individual analog RCA jacks. Most 5.1 amps have these. I know it's gotten pretty confusing with all these foremats. The drawback on SACDs is that you can't EQ them. Your equalizer won't work on those. I think it's an artist integrity thing. They want you to hear it the way they mixed and EQd it. It's pretty screwy. Another reason is, you can't burn SACDs or convert them to mp3s for downloading as well.
