Absolutely - can't deny his (Emerson) abilities, no matter what you think of the music.

And Carl Palmer of course. If only compositionally Emerson had done better, I'd maybe have more respect for ELP. And I never realised Jon Anderson use the theme from Bonanza for Yours is No Disgrace.

And Carl Palmer of course. Definitely, although he's not among my favorite drummers I still think he's terrific.

Mike, I saw your brother in the club on New Years. He was definitely your brother. Alas I don't have a photo of him but I'll see what I can do.

I find Nebelnest really boring, but I've never been a fan of Crimson. I'm not sure if I've heard Upsilon.

Good luck man!

If I don't get either of these jobs, I'll be so bummed...not even prog and beer could cheer me up.
But I'm optimistic.

Just do what I'm doing - flip burgers until you find a real job

I've never heard Nebelnest. Upsilon Acrux is so good I may actually try some more math like Don Cab or Hella or something like that.

Far Corner are even more boring than NeBeLNeST. Just to pre-warn you. I don't play either band much really.

You have to listen to Hella. I never got into Don Cab either.
I wasn't very impressed by Far Corner either, and that fretless bass is obnoxious.

Pat: So Thereby... And Furthermore.. Thus Henceforth...Mono
Best track by Upsilon Acrux from any of their albums.

Far Corner just lack... atmosphere and compositional skill.

I haven't been paying attention to the track names....this whole album is outstanding.

Funny, from your earlier comments I actually went expecting very little and ended up liking what I heard. I mean, it wasn't the greatest or most RIO thing I've experienced, but I certainly didn't hate it. Although to be honest I can sort of see how it might be boring (even though I liked it), if that makes any sense.

Oh I don't hate them. I listen to them once in a while.
But they don't do what Ahvak, UZ, Present, Sotos, Zaar and few others do. They leave me cold. The albums finish and well, there's nothing memorable.

Well, we're in agreement I suppose. They are indeed not as good as all the bands listed above.
