That sounds like about where I am with it too. |
I expected nothing otherwise. Glad you gave it a listen though, Scott!

Thanks! I'm glad you listened to it and gave feedback.
2nd one should be free and released about two months from now, and expands upon the style in the 1st (less electronic, more experimental). I have it finished, but I didn't think releasing them both simultaneously was a good idea.
Starting ideas on the 3rd now, and the directions we could take are absolutely endless. This will probably more song-oriented effort though. It'll be our first album to have vocalists, and 6 or 7 at that.
|
That'll be good because my ears didn't find much "substance" in your "songs". But hey, i'm not a fan of long, drawn-out "moods"!
|
The good thing about free downloads is that you hardly lose out on anything even if you hate the album, other than the time you spent listening to it. I don't plan on stagnating my sound though, which makes the music even more difficult to categorize. It's really a case of: Even if you dislike one album, you may like a different one, or vice versa. The 2nd is different than the 1st, but it's not a total rapid transformation, so you shouldn't expect anything quite near as accessible as what I'm listening to.

I'm quite certain that I will give it some more listens. My two cents with this album as a standalone is that it would belong under the Prog Electronic banner. It reminded me somewhat of Scott Mosher's free downloads. It is possible that you might want to check him out. I think that you can find his stuff by googling his name, but if not and you are interested I can probably find the link for you.

I'm afraid, I'll have to say the same. And as Abstrakt said, I'm impressed!

me too i have all their albums and enjoy them all, but those two along with Abandon, WDWTWA and book of taliesyn make up my bottom five. It's all pretty good just not on the level of their bet albums imo...

I never said they were in the lever of their best albums, did I? For quality, I put those mentioned by you(with the exception of Book of Taliesyn which I consider phenomenal) down, but by preference I prefer S&M, WDWTWA and TBRO 2 times over Perfect Strangers, Rapture of the Deep and House of Blue Light.
