Absolutely love the first couple of songs. Not entirely certain about the last couple, though.

Rhythm Of The Heat = incredible atmosphere, great lyrics, absolutely Shocked wow! vocals Clap
San Jacinto = great lyrics, incredible reversal towards the end, lots of personality Clap
I Have The Touch = cool, electronic, great fun Clap
The Family And The Fishing Net = amazing, amazing drum programming. everything else good, but the drum programming is just Clap
Shock The Monkey = more Shocked wow! vocals, classy stuff Clap
Lay Your Hands On Me = great development, atmosphere, lyrics, etc Clap
Wallflower = basically just atmosphere + lyrics. Can't help but feel it's a bit too bare (i.e. just occasional chords, really)
Kiss Of Life = weird mix of genericism and complete brilliance. Can't say I'm as enamoured of the lyrics here as in the rest of the album, though they're fun.

So, basically, a minor masterpiece... the last couple of tracks have been growing on me, though.

Probably Peter Gabriel's best vocals (from those I've heard so far).

The vocals are amazing, yes. I'd be more inclined to say that the album is weaker in the middle, with pieces of The Family and the Fishing Net, Shock The Monkey (don't like this one) and Lay Your Hands On Me being substandard.

But overall a safe 4 stars.

I don't think OTSUTDY is on Peter Gabriel's Fourth. Wink

My share on the Fourth, btw, can be called similar to yours. Love it from ROTH up to Fishing Net, not so much Shock... and the rest of the vocal pieces, but I do like Wallflower a lot.

On to Over now, just a remark: Lost and Found is pure bliss.
