Sorry. no news about Argentina. The news only broke out a couple of weeks ago here, which is unusually short notice for this type of show, so be aware and try to check for information !!!

I thought he'd packed in touring, so nice to see. Except for the fact I can't make Chile. Saw the man with an orchestra way way back in 1976.....

I was there.

The concert was very "meh", I didn't like it. He didn't bring a moog or hammond or anything, it was just him on the piano and the orchestra, no bass, no drums, no guitar. He didn't even arrange the orchestral parts himself and as a result it sounded kinda like elevator music.

There were some highlights like Catherine of Aragon on solo piano at the VERY end (he didn't seem to keen on playing it), parts of JTTCOTE and parts of a Beatles cover. His solos were alright, nothing out of this world in my opinion.

He said he was coming again next year, apparently with a real band. I don't know if I'm going.

In short, a waste of money.

I was there too.

I have a different opinion, but not completly oposite. I neither expect such a show, in the way of a camera concert, but in front of 5.000 people and just under the stars. But it was good. It was good to hear a couple of wives, or that version of Eleonor Rigby that is played regularly on the Radio Futuro (recorded in its studios). But I was not amazed, just a good night in Viņa, with good music from Rick Wakeman.

And what I understood was that next year he'll be touring (not just Chile) the JTTCOTE.
