Revocation-Empire Of the Obscene.

Some pretty cool Technical Death/Thrash Metal.

Please describe. The cover art looks intriguing.

Right now I'm listening to "Drama" by Yes. It's pretty cool.

It was released this year.
It's a mix of some metalcore (sorta metalcore-ish vocals), but musically it's more of a technical death/thrash band (it's not a prog band, but meh, I don't care anyway, I just love metal).
Well balanced with heavier non melodic bits with more melodic bits.

For me personally, it's one of the best metal releases this year. Always feel inspired listening to this album.

In fact, listening to it for a second time today:)

Neuschwanstein - Battlement

Just received, so first listening. Sounds a lot like Gabriel Genesis. But then I like Gabriel Genesis.

Hiromi Uehara - Spiral

Hoping that she gets approved for inclusion in JR/F.  A fantastic jazz piano player, compositions are lush, melodic, yet the technical proficiency is also outstanding.  She is a protege of Chick Corea.

On my way home from work shortly it will be the second half of Dream Theater's Systematic Chaos, my newest album.  I listened to the first 4 tracks this morning for the first time.  Wow, heavy stuff!
