Speaking of which, I will begin taking bets on whether or not the U.S. will have completely pulled out of Iraq by this time next year.
|
On another side note, I will also be taking bets on possibilities of civil uprising and assassination attempts on President Obama in the next 4 years (don't laugh at the possibility of an assassination, since 1) there's plenty of skinheads out there who are even more pissed off than I am and 2) a U.S. president has been assassinated every 20 years for about the past 150 years or so, although Reagan and one other president who I can't remember right now managed to survive their assassination attempts). Not that I'm saying someone will try, but for some reason I see it being a possibility.
|
Your right, sadly, there are WAY too many morons out there.
You know security will be at its highest ever with Obama in the White House.
|
I agree. Granted I don't like Obama, but I'm willing to at least wait and see what happens before I try to plan any political coupe (although I hope I don't have to). I figure there might be some riots with him winning, but then again I figured that there might be some if he hadn't been elected. Either way, we're on what will probably be a wild roller coaster ride for the next 4 years. As to everyone who supported Obama in this election, that's fine, it's your choice. But know that if something goes horribly wrong, you won't have Bush and the Republicans to blame for it this time.

Today I am very proud of the country that I have chosen to make my own in the second part of my life. The news really made my day, and I might even go to celebrate with the Americans who live in Rome on Nov 8. And who knows, perhaps I'll be able to vote in four years' time too ....

ahahahaha
AHAHAHAHA
for what it's worth, you collectively voted for the right president who is nowhere close to being a socialist. of course, he's still a statist, but who hasn't been in your country, for the last fifty years? ;P
PS. he's your president even if you didn't vote for him so perhaps you shouldn't be publishing outright lies on the internet about the man. not very respectful, is it?

I don't want to sound confrontational, but before bandying about words like 'socialist' and 'Marxist', perhaps people would do better to get some correct information about what those two words really mean. If not wanting people to go bankrupt because of a medical emergency is socialism, this means most European countries are socialist - pity that here in Italy we have a solid right-wing majority, and so they have in France, for instance.

I just got up. My dogs aren't displaying any out of the ordinary behaviour. The usual excitement before the morning walk as if I've forgotten and they have to remind me. The budgies are chirping. Just glanced out the window and the nieghbour's anuual Christmas reindeer display complete with Rudolph hasn't gone up yet. The sky hasn't fallen and I predict another great day to be alive. Is that being positive about all this or what ?
