Howdy Shredders. Today I will be immersing myself into the rock and roll rhythms provided by local artists Tiles and Matthew Parmenter. And unless something changes between now and tonight I will be seeing both in concert tonight along with 2 other local acts Pilz and 50 cent Headrush. I'm not familiar with the other 2, but hopefully, the use of the word Rush in the 2nd bands name bodes well. Can't beat a $5 cover charge to see such quality music up close and personal.

Man, I wish I could go to a show, ever. Last show I went to was a DT on the Octavarium tour.

It's only $5. I'll save a seat for you.

Well, have fun Scott, know how much you enjoy Tiles and Parmenter both, so should be a great time.

It should be a good show. I was serious about saving you a seat Pat. I haven't been able to talk any of my friends, as few as they are, to go with me so I'll be going by myself. I've done that before, but it is still kind of strange. When I saw Tiles and Discipline earlier this year, I met up with H.T. there, so there was at least someone to talk to before and in between sets, although he did leave after seeing Discipline. I'm hoping he'll be there to see Matthew Parmenter, but to be honest I'd be really surprised to see him.

BTW, I downloaded Ersatz by 4/3 de Trio this morning from eMusic. I didn't have a chance to save it to my iPod, and they don't fit into my listening plans for today, but I'll definitely give it a listen this weekend.

Cool, BTW how did you like that Thieves' Kitchen? Can't remember if I asked you about it or not.

I liked the Thieves' Kitchen quite a bit. I am definitely going to look into getting more albums from them.

Looked on my iPod....I have their debut Head, which I'm sure you would enjoy. I remember pitching this band to Eric as well, can't recall if he ever got a chance to check them out.

I don't think that there are any Thieves' Kitchen on eMusic. I'm probably going to have to either download from Amazon, or purchase hard copies from one of the internet sites. I guess I'll have to see how much Pepsi I can drink in the next month while their promotion is still running.

I am sure that you will be reminded plenty enough while watching the baseball games this weekend.

Yeah, that sucked last night. Phils are going to have to find some offense pretty quick. I'm really worried about Moyer getting whacked around tomorrow and going down 2-1.

It is too bad for the Phillies that they aren't playing the Tigers tomorrow night. Moyer has a history of making the Tigers look silly.

Good evening all! Blaaaaahhhh, I've had a really stressful day. But... I'm home now, and watching a documentary about Iggy Pop's artistic side! I never knew he painted. But apparently, he does. Not entirely sure I'm that convinced by his artworks, but Iggy is wonderfully entertaining to watch and listen to. Much more articulate than you'd expect! Also... he's left handed. I should put the Stooges' albums on my ipod now.

And I am in the middle of a Tiles marathon in preparation for their show tonight.
Edit: Hmmm. I think that I've said that a few times today. Does anyone else have a sense of Deja Vu?

Sorry to hear about that, Melissa. But it's the weekend, yay!

Yes, it is indeed the weekend, and I have the week off this coming week too!
I'll need it after today. Covering reception is... interesting.
You certainly get to talk to a lot of idiots! Especially the girl who
left her passport behind in her dorm room (I work in a private
school). No, dear, I'm not going to order a taxi and direct the driver
to go to your room in the boarding house and get the passport out of
your white handbag and send him off to the airport with it. Nope... I'm going to pass the buck to the College porter (ex army chappie!) and let him deal with you...
It's good to ring the changes, enjoy the CSN&Y!
Right, I'm off to play the piano for a bit. Might be back later...
