From TD, I have Architecture in Motion; The Dream Mixes; and, Rockoon.  I'm sure that these probably aren't the greatest choices from them, but I don't know how much that would matter with me.  I'm not that big on pure instrumental albums.  A strange thing coming from a prog fan, but I am a strange prog fan.

The choices will make all the difference there, as their eras all sound quite different, while still being TD.

Their best CDs are Phaedra, Rubycon, Stratosfear, and Force Majeure if you want their most representative period (70s).

Going into the 80s, Tangram, Underwater Sunlight, and Hyperborea.

90s: Turn of the Tides, Melrose


There are good ones too, of course, but those are the most essential ones. It all depends on what period you want as well. They have some really unique and good stuff, even if it is all instrumental and mainly electronic instruments. It's really good background music to which to study, work, or relax.
