I got a ticket to their show in Oslo, and if their new material is anything like Duck Stab and Commercial Album I know I'm gonna love it.

Over land and under ashes
In the sunlight, see - it flashes
Find a fly and eat his eye
But don't believe in me
Don't believe in me
Don't believe in me

If you haven't been following the Residents recent material, it will be nothing like Duck Stab and Commercial Album other than being totally Residential, if you know what I mean. But then again, I've only seen them live on DVD, several...

Those albums were mentioned in the opening post. I have most of their new stuff too. And I do think that they're still a good and interesting. But I find myself missing the twisted, beautiful melodies on all their albums from their debut up to the early eighties. A bit too much talk and storytelling, and to little music to my taste. That said I love A nimal Lover, and the bonus CD is awsome. ( Rivers of Crime's really great too)
