He really looked old.  His hair made him look like he was wearing a powdered wig that the aristocrats used to wear.  (I'm not sure does Parliament still wear these type wigs???)  I agree though that it was fun seeing him getting this spotlight, even if it was sharing it with a pop star.  Personally, I never heard of her, but US TV said that she was really popular in the UK.

Actually if you use the "did"-auxiliary verb in the sentence, it already states, that the sentence is in fact in past tense. So after that the one verb that actually describes the action, in this case "see(saw)" should be in present tense, as just "see". Basically: "Did you like it?", not "Did you liked it?". Makes sense once you think it over.

Oh yeah, Jimmy Page was it? I kind of wish I had seen him, but then, I'm not sure if the guy has anything to give to the world anymore. I mean, there are a lot of players that are a part of a band, and once they go solo, they're just players with a name. Kind of like the The Doors players. who's heard of Robby Krieger after that? A lot I guess, but he's been just a guitar player, that's all. Jimmy Page made something great, but in my book, he left it to Led Zep. though this from a guy who actually wasn't in Beijing, so...

Coolest 65 year old dude I have seen in a while! Most are fat, half-dead looking by that age , so let's all be nice to our elders Big%20smile
I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

I'm not a fan of Zepplin a bit. But, that's pretty cool for a fan to experience.

Oh GAWD I thought that version was awful! It makes me a little embarrassed to be British. C'mon, SURELY there are better dancers than those terrible, terrible ones they picked? Or at least better choreographers? I love Jimmy, but really, I don't think this was a good idea. Leona Lewis. CAN sing, but stylistically refuses to Angry

Just to clarify, my comment regarding his age was not meant as an insult of Jimmy Page, although obviously it comes across that way.  The most "recently" that I remember seeing Jimmy Page is from his Outrider album, which is probably 20 years old by now.  I guess that that image or more likely the How The West Was Won DVD image is what I had in my head of him, and seeing him now at around the age of 65 was kind of a shock.

"hats off" to Jimmy for taking the time to join in the fun at the Bejing closing ceremony Clap- he did a fabulous job, Britain still leads the world for rock superstars! Star  (and not too far behind in the medals stakes - 19 golds....not bad for a small team Wink )
