The whole story of how motW managed to afford to record their 4th album thanks to a poker player is unbelievable. Just read the whole thing today and I'm really impressed.

That's in Ohio, too, isn't it?  Where?

EDIT: oh, Cleveland.  That's one hour from me.

My email conversation with Toby Driver:

Okay so all I need is a mailing adress. Also is it alright If I send it in Canadian dollars? I'm probably sending around 100 dollars.

Also, I read on one of your blog posts that people can get MotW reissues through you. Is this still right, or are they all out of print?

I managed to get My Fruit Psychobells but I really want the others.

Thanks a lot!

--------------

Hi Chris, wow thanks!
my mailing address as of Sept 1 will be

123 fake street (Im not givng out his adress)

as for motw reissues, they're out of print except for M.F.P.
Sorry! We really wish we had copies...

---------------

No problem. I really enjoy your music and admire your ideas. You must get this a lot, but you are really a genius in my eyes.

As for the reissues, im guessing some small label will try to re release them again.

Thanks for the information and I'll send the donation on september the 1st.

Also, Blue Lambency Downward was amazing

Anyone else getting goosebumps every time when Toby recites "The Manifold Curiosity" in The Manifold Curiosity? There's something about that that just gets me every time. Pretty much the ultimate goosebump track, that one, with the climaxes and all. The whole album is great, and full of those moments, though.

I disagree. it'll be teeming with life when new material comes out. There's just not much Toby Driver-related to discuss right now.

^But I'm talking about recent days, the thread had been dead, so in that case yeah, it was deadWink Can't exactly just leave this thread dead until next February, it might end up locked by that stage by being a too old thread.

I must say, the news of the next album kicks ass.
Hoping it's supremely epic stuff.

Also, not to double post (yeah right...) but...

has anyone noticed that the solo in Marid's Gift of Art, from around 3:17 - 3:24 sounds JUST like the theme from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory??

Because it does. Homage? Coincidence? RIP-OFF!!?!?!

I don't drink haha.

Watch this

Then go listen. I swear it haha.

I'm sure it's coincidence, but it struck me on like first or second listen.

And by "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", I really meant "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory".
