Yeah, but damn man, considering he wasn't even famous back then and had to split most of his time between working and practice with little left for a social life I guess, having a rig like that is pretty killer.

Practice was his social life probably LOL, much like mine actually. Coincidence? Wink

But he's using a Mark 3..and he hasn't used one since WDADU..he used 2 Mark lV's for distorted, and a lonestar for clean this tour.

Him and Myung used to practice 6 hours a day back then.. both of them made that commitment.
I guess between that, they survived off day jobs to be able to pay the rent and buy the gear pretty much.
Even after 6 hours a day practice, hell, you still got lots more hours in your day left.

Ah man, to be honest, from 2007 releases, Systematic Chaos barely gets a play anymore in my world.
I honestly way prefer listening to FOABP and Colors from 2007 releases.

To be able to at least maintain his level of playing, if not get any better, he would need AT LEAST 2 hours day practice I think.

You're right, Portnoy doesn't practice at all on his spare time though he said in an interview..he's too busy w/ fanclubs and whatnot.

Woa, I figured Portnoy would at least practice some amount in his spare time. So only at DT band rehearsals, that must be tough to keep his drumming chops in shape then.
