Hehe, I get all sorts of people asking me for guitar lessons, hell even theory lessons, but not a chance I would ever get picked for a sports team. I have a kinda naturally athletic body type (slim, endurance type), but just been lazy really.

My lungs suck. I have severe allergies, but I manage. The bassoon takes a lot of air. I therefore hate whole notes.

Long notes/gaps suck on drums too.
"OMG I WANT TO PLAY THE DAMN DRUMS, STUPID REST!!"
|
The bassoon still pwns the drums. Drumsticks, when in the wrong hands, can be dangerous.
|
Hahaha, that reminds me...
See, this sounds incredibly stupid if you've never played drums... but once I was being an idiot and filling over and over with somewhat careless sticking, eventually one of them went flying and nearly hit me in the face.
|
My bassoon's seat strap has gotten messed up, sending my bassoon flying with the bocal (curvy metal part) whacking me in the nose. I am extremely clumsy.

Squash > Tennis + Swimming.
Music > Sport...ish.
(playing sport > playing music pour moi. Hearing music > watching sport.)

You
should've been a swimmer like me then. After swimming for almost 10
years of my life, my doctor tells me that I have some of the healthiest
lungs he's ever seen. Swallow THAT one!

Tennis > Swimming

"If swimming was easy, they'd call it tennis" Actually, the real quote is "If swimming was easy, they'd call it football" But this is so much more fitting.
|
Try playing tennis. You run your ASS off.
|
Try swimming 2 miles every practice (keeping in mind that swimmers practice twice a day, as well as a dry land part of practice that involves running, weights, etc). You'll tire your ASS off I think I just received major win

Why are we even arguing about this? It should be about something more constructive, like how Henry Cow pwns Univers Zero

It does... but not by much. Maybe it's just the bassoon that makes them both so awesome.

That's weird that you say that. I was born a month early... I could have some sort of the same thing. I don't know though; I never looked into it. I just accepted that I always sucked at sports.

I was born like two months early (I'm a twin). My brother is excellent at every sport though and is awful at music (we're opposites), so I guess you can't really judge based on that.

I know they're both extremely exhausting. I'm not going to say that tennis is more so, since I'm not a swimmer, but it's much more difficult than most idiotic jocks give it credit for.

Speaking of sports, today the football players made fun of us marching. They think they're so much better... so sad.
