What state are you at?  I guess you'll be getting your drivers license soon (that is, if you don't have it already or if you don't wait a long time to like I did), so if you're nearby, go. I'm in the extreme northern part of Kentucky--about 5 minutes across the Ohio river from Cincinnati. Thus, it would be a 10 or 11 hour drive. But, David (birdwithteeth) and I have been planning a road trip... so we might go to Philadelphia and use NEARfest as a good added bonus. Not sure yet, we still have to figure everything out.

Yeah, it's worth it, you get to meet two of ProgArchives finest - Flossy/KingofLoss and me.

However, perhaps reverse psychology would work better?  Maybe if you play some solo Collins, Céline Dion and Shania Twain, they'll hate pop music so much, they'll automatically switch to prog.

It's a difficult decision though.

The latter idea may backfire... especially if it's a boy...

So I'd stick with playing them light doses of prog but not too much so they grow sick of it.

Thanks Scott and Dan, unfortunately my wife is an AI fan and playing RIO/Avant in front of a cranky pregnant woman who hates that sort of thing, well, that's just not smart.  

I'm already losing in the music department, I make up for it by trying to convince myself that the Wiggles are actually quite RIO.

I see that Poist-Rock is now filled with driving n00bs.

I've yet to hear The Wiggles... but I know of their existence.

Someone needs to form a RIO band for sprogs.
