OK - now the professor's back, time to post a couple of photos here - I've only uploaded a couple so far, but there will be more to come (cue sound of people frantically clambering over themselves in an effort to flee the shed before Peter & Jim can get the slide projector working):

We saw just so many whales when we were there - every day, I believe... stunning creatures

By the time I took this shot, I could have patted the little bugger on the head - remarkably tolerant of people.

It's pretty straight forward, there are soem fun little things on there also (simple one stop editing) I've got pictures on my bucket that have sat there quite happily for about 5 years!

What are the costs like? (you can answer in US$$ if you like -- it's much the same thing these days ...

Big Blue the killer KLR remains fun -- pardon me if I'm not online much when the sun shines!!

My last week of my summer vacation is coming up, and the long-range forecast is for sun and warm (it was a decidedly wet summer for central Canada and points east -- New England area too)!

Further - in response to your post: in two weeks, I have to turn in my company car (the one that will be returned to me tomorrow), and get my own. One of the drawbacks of starting my own company, but based on experiences over the past 3 years, I reckon I'll just get another Skoda. Nothing against Toyota, though.

And of course - we agree on many, many things, but we don't agree completely yet. So far, we agree that my English grammar is crap, Canada is a great country and Prog makes our day. What's next - apart from being lookalikes according to James?

For lack of Peter's pics (or did I miss something), here's one that shows how our vacation was interrupted after only 5 hours - just north of Paris....

Our car decided to take a little vacation for itself - one of the engine supports came off, resulting in a lot of noise and the engine dropping some 15 centimeters on one side. It's been send home on a truck, and we got a BMW 320 Touring to continue our trip. I can assure that I'll be glad to have my giant Skoda back tomorrow.
