Sorry to point out another (this time) minor issue. I noticed that the two reviews I did yesterday never got added into my review count on the "100 most prolific reviewers" in the right hand side... I check my bio, and I have 176 reviews, but the list is still showing only 174! Anybody else has this problem?

I'd love to check but the Top 100 albums and reviewers have been replaced by this...

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01c9'

This key is already associated with an element of this collection

/Progressive_rock_discography_includes/cache.asp, line 88

on the front page.

[edit] - that seems to have worked itself out.

Although as I remember I have 239 and it said I had 238.

Well, mine didn't change, and my latest review is not appearing on the front page.

Yes I agree the totals do not appear to be adding up. I think I need to wait until glitches resolved for any more....

It seems to be one of the results of this: http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=50202.

Yikes, I think it my review count froze too.

Let's see, I had 909 reviews when I returned, I wrote 13 (one daily last week except two on Sunday, and this week two on Tuesday, two on Thursday and one yesterday, that's 6+2+2+2+1 = 13)

My review count is currently 919, which means the count hasn't been actualized since Tuesday, when I posted two reviews)

I doubt it's a result, it would be more of a problem (or a side-effect, if you will).
Usually, with the caching feature, it takes around 5 minutes for a review/bio/addition to appear. So we're talking a short time of caching, 5 minutes.

This thing however, as I pointed out above, lasts for quite some time, by my guess, the review count has frozen since Wednesday.

So it's a problem, not a result. If a result, it would have updated in the time it usually takes for reviews/etc. to appear. And that's 5 minutes.

I think from my point of view, I feel the need to cease my own reviews or bio additions etc until these issues are cleared up and I am sure M@x is doing everything possible to clear this technical problem out.

There should not be any ongoing issues as such. M@x is working on caching the display of certain pages to improve the performance of the site. This means that there will be delays in those pages being updated, but not the database itself. Bottom line, as long as you're patient, everything should add up OK.

Now hold on...

If the caching feature is maintained,

your reviews will constantly appear a short time after you've posted it
+
your bio additions will always be submitted in the same way, after a short time

So you're gonna cease reviewing and bio additions forever? Confused

The problem is not that reviews and bio additions are delayed. There are other glitches such as:

  • characters turning into ? - IT WAS FIXED
  • reviews count freezing - needs to be fixed
