Alexander, I think I have that too, one or two extended free jams, right? It's ok if you like highly talented musicians breaking ground and all that, but you always come back to Grand Funk Railroad.

I just got 3 CD's in the mail. Zen Rock and Roll - Kind of a tribute to Prog, like the Tangent. "Very interesting" on a first listen. Atlantis "Pray for Rain" I bought it for the Holdsworth tune. Very Neo. Wonder what K-2 will sound like |

Zappa producing and playing guitar for Grand Funk, that's kind of a tight fit...I think they're playing the local USO this week, and doing a free concert on top of a barber shop.

Popped on 'Space & Time' by Ici Maintenants most recently, Hillage-like space rock, pretty damn good, linked to the whole Gong scene. From planetgong.co.uk: Brilliant, atmospheric live psychedelic jamming album by Here & Now offsho |

Open City is really good, 185 is excellent too...they were very good at The Knitting Factory a few years back. I just received 'Sacred Geometry' by Daevid Allen (Gong), 2001 I think, pretty ambient but I keep putting it on and hearing more sound |
