I recognise this as the self-made legend forum gambit. I do hope this isn't the overture to a huge trolling suite. xD

No No ... legends are memorable, my posts are just unendable (tried to find a rhyme there)
Mostly just saying that the person who initiated the thread lost the arguement and the line of thought too early.
If you saw the mention of Ange & Klaatu, and read any of my many posts, you'da knows that I cannots a claim greatness, only dependability. Tongue

Wow, I geuss I came into this a bit late, but here I am now. As for the 'Protest the Hero' thing:

I did review the newist album from "Protest the Hero" quite hastly a few weeks ago, only giving it one star. I geuss for the hasty review for it was the wrong thing of me to do, reviewing it after one listen to it. I will admit, this kind of Progressive music is not to my taste, but....to my untrained ears of this kind of music, I can still find enjoyment out of cirten arias of this sub group, I just didn't find any enjoyment in that album. Even "System of the Down" has their moments, I just did not find anything with 'Protest the Hero' .Thats not to say others wont, I just wrote to my taste and my veiw of the album.

Perhaps one day I'll pick up the album again and see if it does anything for me then.

Lack of metal knowledge in some reviews?  How about the lack of mental knowledge? LOL
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

Due to this thread I started to listen more to prog metal , dowloading all the top albums of the genre and I have never seen somathing as original as V : The new Mythology Suite by Symphony X.Supreme and innovative mucisianship combined with gorgeous riffing.

Not the average metal band by the way.

Really?  I find Symphony X to be totally predictable and bland, but that is just me......

I was being sarcastic , with the exception that I actually downloaded the 20 albums and I am "embracing" them at the moment.

That's what I really think.Probably a step forward in metal evolution but not enough prog content to me.(When compared to the other subgenres of course).

And when it comes to Symphony X I think Timo Kotipelto sings much better than this other guy.
