Reviews and people I've talked to make GTA4 out to be one of the best games ever. I kind of want it, but I can always pick it up in 5 years when that and a 360 are a lot cheaper. ;)

I know how you feel.I "dried myself out" and didn't play anything almost a month before GTA IV was released so I wouldn't have that problem.
How you could buy GTA IV,play it a little, and put it down for an extended period of time is beyond me.

I've played both Half Life/Half Life 2, but don't own HL2.
Speaking of HL2, has anyone here got it running on Vista (I'm talking bout the original HL2 made in 2004, not anyone of the expansions)? I'm not sure if I should buy it in case it doesn't work on my Vista machine.

XBOX360 Ricardo.I have seen some talk of people having probs with freeze up,blurriness and some frame rate issues in the game but mine is running smooth as silk, and I haven't had any kind of technical glitches with the game.
I am not in a hurry for it because I plan on spending quite awhile playing through this game but I am interested to see the XBOX exclusive DLC for this game.

I just have 20 more matches with FC Barcelona in my league campaign and that's it! To the streets of Liberty city! To play a game I waited for at 1200 am on a tuesday morning! I'm an idiot!

I have a real problem now, I'm supposed to be revising for my exams (ok there's only 3 this year but I still need to revise) but in the past week I've bought 3 Final Fantasy titles for my GBA(4,5 and 6 just won 5 on ebay). I'm either going to have to develop a very strong will or have someone hide my supply of AA batteries so I can't use the console anymore.
Oh well if I do manage to avoid playing all 3 I'll at least have something to do over the summer. |

Luckily you don't have Final Fantasy Legends for Playstation, otherwise you'd need to hide that too.

I haven't even bothered with playing online yet.I probably won't play online till I finish the single player game.I am a total completionist,I have to do and get EVERYTHING,so I will be playing story mode for awhile.

I think I've found a solution to my problem, I've bought a side scrolling shooter called Steel Empire, I'm hoping that will provide a similar level of fun but won't be anywhere near as time consuming. Of course I've got to wait for it to arrive from the US so far the moment FF6 (and the other FFs when they arrive) is still a problem. |

I have 100% in all GTA games so far(except IV),even Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories.
Hardest thing for me to attain 100% in SA was getting a Gold in the last driving school mission "City Slicking",completing Zero's second mission "Air Raid",and one Los Santos street race called "Vinewood".But I eventually got them.I have attained 100% in 3 seperate SA games, they get easier.

Heh, some folks aren't into fps games. It's understandable. I grew up playing PC games, but most of my friends that haven't, aren't a fan of most genre's that originated on the PC, like fps & rts style games. |

I'm lucky as I played both console and PC style games when I started gaming so I'll play practically anything except sports titles and games obviously designed for small children. I've started going back to my Sega Saturn now for my console gaming as I picked up a steering wheel yesterday for under £1 (apparently the store I got it from has another which I'll probably pick up tomorrow). I bought a few major Saturn items for the fist time in a while today though as I'm starting to move towards what the Saturn does best 2d scrolling shooters, since most of these are Japanese and didn't get released in Europe I've had to get an import adaptor too but the cartridge I've gone for also acts as a memory card and a RAM expansion pack which improves performance in some games. Anyway the games I've bought are Darius Gaiden and Layer Section which are apparently 2 of the best shooters on the Saturn if you exclude the stupidly priced Battle Garegga and Radiant Silvergun which often sell for well over £100 (£200 in the case of RS). |

I know. It's just that from my perspective these are essential games, and everyone who's into "computer gaming" in general should at least check them out. If you have a half way decent computer you can probably get Half Life 1 for less than $10, and it's much more than simply a "shooter". Of course you're free to not like it, I'm just saying that it can't hurt to try. |
