They could have been hacked again. The timing with the front page tho would be very coincidental, but a little something tells me its possible.

Well excuse me for not taking the word of one who creates multiple accounts just to vote against an album, I'll wait til I have a litle more proof, before I sound the horns of war ;) .

Those are not votes against the album  - I wouln't be so stupid. If I'd liked to vote against the album I'd done a proper review.

Those are votes against this site and the corruption it has!

Well this site was primarily responsible for saving me from top 40 radio, so I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and I think you should to, rather than making broad sweeping claims about stuff you can't prove. In the future, if you're wanting to prove something that was said, take a screenshot of it. It will at least lend you a little credibility.

And the proofs are:

- Every review and rating of the album before Sunday, April 27, 2008 have been removed.
- M@x have told King-By-Tor this issue while removing his review (and I have a screenshot of King-By-Tor's message)
- My reviews of the album have been removed as well
- Russell Kirkpatrick's review will be gone
- Accounts dealing with this subject have been and will be removed

Oh so you know the future now do you; fine, we'll see if M@x is really the evil dark boogeyman waiting in the shadows waiting to prey on poor little innocent reviews. I suppose he also works for Halliburton and George Bush is somehow making money off of this.Wacko

You'll have to forgive me for taking all your claims with a very large pinch of salt, given your behaviour on the forums I suspect that you're just a troll out to cause others a bit of grief, if you've got real issues with the site and the way it's run don't bitch about it on the forum instead send the admins a private message or e-mail detailing the issues and suggesting ways that the site could be improved. Constructive criticism will always be more effective than simply spamming under several different usernames.

OK Guys, to clarify the situation re TM.

As you may be aware, the site has entered a sponsorship agreement with TM for the moth of May. The band are keen to derive positive publicity during this period. M@x has therefore agreed with the band to remove literally a couple of critical 1 star reviews meanwhile. In each case, the reviewer has been advised, and invited to re-post the review after the end of May. We appreciate that this is not an ideal situation, and M@x is committed to not allowing it to arise again. Be assured though, the reviews in question have simply been deferred.

You may also be interested to know that member Torman above is a previously banned member who  returned under a new name. He did not review the album at all, but used the reviews section to simply attack the site again.

Ah ok, I knew there had to be some explanation. I knew M@x wasn't a baby-eating ogre. Tongue
Still this doesn't seem like good publicity for TM. Oh well, it's their dime right?

I'm extremely opposed to this ... the reviews should be *completely* separate from the advertising. I think this is a general principle of journalism.

Guys,

I understand your comments about deleting reviews for an independant artist in the prog genre that wants exposure on our site. I feel the same way, but since it was a special request of the artist and our first FEATURED INDEPENDANT ARTIST, I accepted but let him know the negative impact it may have. It's his decision now.

By removing negative bad written reviews we let the artist have a fresh start and allow new listeners to make their own opinions and share them through the site.

So , as collaborators of the site , I would like to ask you a special request, please download freely the TORMAN MAXT album, post a constructive review and give PA the chance to have others FEATURED ARTIST by treating this manner smoothly.

Thanks

A slippery slope indeed.  But since you can get it free and determine whether you want to spend your money, I can live with it.  I certainly want to see the owners of PA turn a buck due to all the hard work and the featured artist is a good idea.  But you might want to make sure the featured album is good quality or this problem will continue to arise.

TM should be happy.  No such thing as bad publicity, right?

^I certainly understand your position.  Just try and put yourself in M@x's shoes.  He gets a chance at a new revenue stream but then things turn south and he has to make a judgement call that could not have been easy.  The whole thing is a bit unfortunate.

I don't think it's that unfortunate. Even in the post above M@x is asking collabs to post positive reviews because the band is paying him money. Things like that can *kill* a reviewing website, and I think that collabs should be extremely opposed to such practices. They simply damage the reputation of the website, and any review - no matter if it's positive or negative - loses credibility because of them. To be honest, after such an incident I wouldn't  know how to listen to (or review) the album without bias.

Mike, I never asked to write reviews and forcing them to be positive. I know what your thinking and please understand that I do the same. I never and never will asked for "bias" reviews. I asked for constructive reviews, not like the one we had to delete. It's an invitation , not a forced suggestion !

Let's see this for what it is; a new venture for the site. It has raised some important issues, which will be taken on board for the future.
