Italian sympho prog-jazz outfit Zaal , a project from la Maschera di Cera/Finisterre keyboardist (and a damn fine one too) Agostino Macor, featuring the prolific Fabio Zuffanti on bass. Check out the review , for those who like a little (or lot of) SAX in their lives. Wink
A big hearfelt curtsy to Micky - the PA Ferrari LOL

I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

Just nosing through this thread a worrying thing hit me........a cover band (Muffin Men, The (playing Zappa covers) has become  one of the many non-prog bands to join this place. What is going  on? If they were original  i'd have no problem whatsoever in welcoming them on board, but a cover band......holy christ where will it end?

I wish there was sorta of souljazz type genre explored on this sight in more detail, such as the CTI record label jazz albums of the early seventies, or something like Donald Byrd Electric.  There was alot of good ethnic urban fusion being made in the late sixties to early seventies that were more orientated aroung bebop then around miles davis. I guess I'll just have to explore further and make some recommendations here.Shocked

Yipppie! Tigrova Mast, first Croatian entry on PA! Never heard of them...I will check them out..

A fantastic original and creative band I added yesterday. They have one s/t album out, which to some  extent shares a spirit with Mr. Bungle and Estradasphere and also with Taal and others of this ilk.
Very fun album, recommended.
They're releasing a new album this year, also through RAIG.
