I've been debating whether or not I should buy Audiosurf. Hmm.

It's only $10 and a lot of fun, I don't see any reason not to buy it.

Penumbra: Black Plague

Absolutely awesome so far...loved the first one, amazing true horror adventure, so incredibly immersive!

I've seen reviews of that and it looks interesting but horror games aren't really to my taste.

Recently I've been playing the latest Sam and Max episode, Two Worlds which is surprisingly good but probably only because I paid £5 for it and I'm still completely addicted to Animal Crossing on my Gamecube.

I beat Super Metroid today, and it is now steadily wedged in my favorite games of all time.

Before I bore myself to death, recommend me some great NES/SNES games to play.  I have a lot of free time.

ultra cool NES games: Air Fortress, Legacy of the Wizard and Ninja Gaiden (obv)

also Armed Dragon Fantasy Villgust has catgirls and the most stereotypically lovely town music ever in an action RPG. Perhaps this suits my tastes and not yours. ;P

I found this game in my old computer CD's drawer

KKND Extreme.
It's a real time strategy game dating back from 1997, pretty similar to C&C: Red Alert really, but made in Australia, and has some hilarious cut scene sequences.

Wow it's been years since I heard about KKND, I remember it being a really good game back in the day but it also had some issues with the uninstaller, IIRC it was actually impossible to completely remove from a PC without reformatting the hard drive.

^That's really odd. I've been playing it for years (not all the time obviously), all the way back when I had windows 95, 98, 98 SE, XP and on my current Vista Machine, no problems with uninstalling.
But with Vista sometimes i get issues with the colors being odd, probably due to KKND being made to run on 256/16 bit color and me using 32 bit color, but for some reason pressing Alt+Tab and going back into the game fixes that, sometimes.....

I guess that problem was unique to the copy I played then, it certainly was a strange one. It's nice to hear though that it works on Vista, I may have to track down a copy to see if it's as good as I remember it to be.

KRUSH, KILL, 'N DESTROY!

Your image doesn't work, by the way. But yeah, I remember the game. Classic stuff. Still, I preferred CnC and TA.

//EDIT: By the way, laplace, we may be the only two people here who have played Villgust. Probably because it was an NES game which wasn't fan-translated until 2001 or so.

I've been working my way through Majora's myself, I'm up to the boss in the water temple right now.

And Harvest Moon 64 has always been one of my favorites.  My current file is Winter year 2, and every girl but Karen has a pink heart for me (I don't bother with Karen because she's a bitch), and I'm about 10 days of pregnancy away from having a full barn to compliment my full henhouse.
