Topic: The Simpsons best era Posted: March 09 2008 at 12:22 |
Seasons 1-3 : The beginnings with maybe crude animation.
Season 4-9 : the most well-known episodes as they tend to be overplayed on the reruns. Also the supposed 'golden era' for many.
Seasons 10-16: Many find it a decline in quality. This is around the time when Futurama was stealing the show. I'm familiar with season 10, which has some hilarious episodes.
Seasons 17-19 + movie: Modern Simpsons. I'm familiar with season 19: quite hit&miss

Four through nine, definitely. I have season eight on DVD and there are so many of my favorites!
I think that the series was good until season eleven, but four through nine has to be the golden era for me.

Seasons 4-9 obviously, there's soooo many classics!
I'm not sure if i like the newer ones, i don't think it's the same thing anymore.
The Old episodes are excellent, and they have a special charm

Kind of an odd poll. How do you got from 1-3 then 4-9 , 10-16, 17-19 +movie? Thats just odd. Anyways I like them all. Great characters, great laughs.

Voted 4-9, though by then it was starting to go downhill fast.

I think the Simpsons was really beginning to get good by about season 3, but I'm going to have to vote for seasons 4-9. I never became well aquainted with season 10 onwards, because frankly it wasn't funny enough to justify my time trying go through the episodes to find hits among the many misses. I've never seen the movie, and chances are, probably won't.

I always get very exited when i see an episode from season 11-16 on TV. I havn't seen much from those seasons (i think). And they're always re-running seasons 1-9, 4-9 or 5-9
