Hello, I am new here and I am not sure how things work. I suppose this could work as a sort of introduction post...I am a college student in the United States. I haven't been into prog for a long time now that I think about it. I first became interested when my dad gave me his Yes cds in 2005-ish. To prove I'm not new to the genre knowledge-wise though I'll just shoutout some of the more progressive bands I listen to: Anekdoten, Camel, Dream Theater, Dungen, ELP, Ephel Duath, Genesis, Gentle Giant, King Crimson, Magma, Marillion, The Mars Volta, Moody Blues, Opeth, Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree, Protest the Hero, Queensryche, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Tool, Yes. I do enjoy a lot of noise rock, psychedelia, hard rock, and metal on the side too.

I don't know how many people actually read introduction topics but let me just state here and now that I have a pretty large ego about my music knowledge so I think I'd actually enjoy being proven wrong about stuff. I think I'd also end up arguing with a bunch of you but I just want everyone to know there's no bad blood if there's disagreements, just exchange of knowledge.

Howdy from Texas and make yourself at home.  You'll discover a lot of great music here that your friends won't understand...

Ello! Nice list! Quite big isn't it. LOL. Welcome although I'm not quite a welcomer for this page, cause in the inside I'm just a newbie aren't I?! Well I think you'll enjoy very much this page having a very big taste of prog bands. You'll discover things that you never had knew before or then or now! Hu? Well don't worry about the forum. I just started with forum few weeks ago. I really started this page doing some crappy reviews of my all fave albums.

Enjoy PA!

Welcome Dj, don't be a stranger. Most people who post in this section of the forums do, for some reason.

You'll have to fight me for the title of biggest ego, though.
