Well, after the obvious and expected predictions of Genesis and Yes beating their opponents, it's time for two absolutely fabulous bands, Jethro Tull and Mahavishnu Orchestra. Well, which do you prefer?

That's about as tough as it can get....I'll just say I have regretted buying more than one Tull album, and I can't say that for MO, so MO it is!
Thank you, God of Rock, for this chance to kick ass

MO are way more consistant with their sound, and Ian Anderson's voice does get kinda annoying at times. Mahavishnu it is.

I'll always favour song-writers over jam-performers, and I love Tull's two album-length songs. =)

Not only is Jtull one of the greatest prog bands ever, but they also take my vote for best overall band in all genres!

Tull, easily one of my favorite bands and more 'versatile' than Mahavishnu; but not to take anything away from MO, they're great too.

Mahavishnu for me, with Johns great guitar work and Billy Cobham on drums it is just too good

Mahavishnu by far, McLaughlin is one of the greatest guitarists ever, Tull's alright. Tull will win undoubtedly though.

This is a tough one for me, love both bands, MO are consistently very good & Tull more patchy but Tull's best stuff is excellent (Aqualung, Passion, TAAB).

Tull........just

I enjoy much more Jethro but Mahavishnu has an awsome guitarist and the rest of the band is great. But Mahavishnu is in a Jazz Fusion/Experimental if you like.. I'll choose Tull.

Vote for Mahavishnu Orchestra: Songs From The Wood is responsible for this.

This is crazy!  The Mahavishnu Orchestra are one of the most brilliant groups of all time.  Their level of muscianship will NEVER be matched.  Jethro Tull are good, but this is no contest...is this a joke?
