With summer quickly approching, i'm curious what people plans are.

I've planned a vacation to the Poconos, plan to go to a few concerts, and catch up on my sleep. Hopefully i'll do other stuff, but who knows.

Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive

well, i have a few plans

  • working part-time at Donatos Pizzeria for minimum wage.... although with tips it comes out to be roughly $6 an hour.
  • also working part-time with a construction company. i'll be working for the guy's business  that remodeled our kitchen. great guy, very friendly.
  • going to China and then Mongolia! I'll be in Beijing for four days and Ulaan Batur for a week. I'm going with a very-wealthy family friend who's involved with civil rights and free market activists groups that are trying to promote freer governments/economies overseas. I'll actually be meeting the Prime Minister of Mongolia. So, it'll be some meeting with economists/activists and some tourism as well. I'm leaving July 5th and returning home July 16th.
  • RECORDING MY CD! Yes folks, you heard me right. My school has a program/endowment for upcoming Seniors to do "projects in creativity". People do anything from medical research to manual construction to arts projects. So, I proposed a recording project where I would record, mix, and produce a completely original CD. Of the $4200 i requested, I ultimately got $2400!!! So, although I had to personally invest a little more than I had wanted, I'm off on a recording project. So, with my new Mac Powerbook I'll be recording my masterpiece. Right now, my press officials are saying that Mr. Gutierrez shall be putting out his debut release in May 2006 .

Well I was planning just to see a few shows around here and do Nearfest in July.. maybe go up to Cape Cod for the 4th... but now it looks like I need to go home to North Carolina for a family reunion... and a quick trip to Germany at the end of the month that will probably cost me a fortune...

Why doesn't anything ever go smoothly....

Well, for the next week I'll be finishing up my school year. Our finals were three weeks ago, we're currently in a Spring Term instead of regular classes, so I'll be taking fencing in the morning and sundials/solar calenders in the afternoon. After school gets out I'm off to Cambodia for two weeks to help with some missions work. Then, at the end of June, I'll be celebrating my birthday. In early July I'm going down to Tennessee with my youth group to stay on housboats at Dale Hollow Lake for a weekend. The rest of my time will be spent hanging out with friends, listening to music, and possibly working (if I can find a good place to work).

On the road solidly for the next two months but.....

looking at going somewhere - me and my girlfriend,
mate and his girlfriend - in Greece in August.
I've been recommended Santorini. The last time i
was there was 10 years ago and it was cool. But I'm
concerned it's gone all lager lout touristy and
over-developed.
Looking for a quiet island, with a bit of history, not too
many tourists, relaxing, with emphasis of good food,
and chilling. Any suggestions anyone?

sorry, should also have specified that the location
has to have beer prices that do not require a second
mortgage, restaurants where you're not expected to
leave your car as part payment for a green salad and
ummm oh yeah some freakin' sunshine!!!!

Disco biscuit - ecstasy, a drug which induces
euphoria, a profound sense of well-being, a feeling
of closeness to other people and a sense of the
goodness of your fellow man/woman....

wait a minute, now I KNOW why you haven't got a
clue what a disco-biscuit is

I'm going to France, to the north west coast, it's just a short drive from where I live in Belgium. Having fun in the sun , I hope, with my wife and kid. I'm not sure about the sun part, but hey, I don't really mind a lot.

I'm going to meet some family and Friends in Holland too, and attend a Van Der Graaf Generator concert in Amsterdam.

This is all pretty uninteresting , isn't it? Not really life in the fast lane  . Still, I'm looking forward to it.

Work, probably.

And delving further into the existence of music and literature, no doubt.

I'm going to be working. I'm going to be starting my University course in September, but am still unsure as to whether or not i want to commit myself to 3 years of studying...

Out of interest, what is the US Minimum Wage? In the UK it's £4.85 for people aged 21 and over (i think), and £4.20 an hour for 18 - 21. That's around $8.79 an hour for over 21's and $7.61 an hour for 18-21 year olds.
