If Yes, Genesis (With Gabriel) ELP and King Crimson all reformed with original members (Bruford and Wetton with Crimson) (Alan White with Yes) and each band went in to the studio for a year and produced its ultimate prog rock album before going on a progfest tour all playing together on the same stage, who would headline? Keep in mind that each band just produced the the most incredible album thats its ever done.

Although I'd be happy just to see them all regardless of the order they played in this is what I think the order would be

Crimson would open the show followed by Genesis then ELP and Yes would Headline.

Now the way I would actually want to see the show would be Yes opening up and then Genesis followed by Crimson and then ELP headlining.

I believe that at some point someone will try to put together a progressive rock anniversary concert. 2008 marks about 40 years doesnt it? If it was an all weekend event, I wonder who would be asked to play?

I think it would be weird to try to answer this hypothetical question seriously, because they would never tour together and play one show together because it would be way too long a show. It would have to be a festival or something. Besides, egos would get in the way, and which band would Greg Lake play for?

Yes it would be a weekend event. 2 bands on Saturday and 2 bands on Sunday. The Nokia theater would be the perfect place in LA. It just opened. State of the art. I just saw Tool there and it was one of the most mindboggling spectacles I'd ever heard or witnessed in my life. Cleanest sound I've ever heard and the bass felt like it was vibrating through every atom of my body. The band was beyond words and the light/laser show was the best I've ever seen.

I would think that Genesis would be the headliner.    Two reasons:   It's been a LONG time since the definitive lineup has been together and they have been the most commercially successful of the four.  Crimson would probably open.  Yes would go second simply because they would prefer to be followed by ELP, I would think.
