Hi Angelo,

Being as you're presently unsigned bands monitor, AND are Dutch, there could be no better person to check out this very promising, female fronted, melodic progressive metal band from Tilburg & Eindhoven.  They are very interesting and varied in their style:

let me know what you think.....Wink

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

I'll check 'm out together with about 10 other bands waiting for me today. Fun part: Eindhoven is about 5 minutes drive from here, 20 minutes to Tilburg. Now why do I need to get onto a Canadian owned web site to hear about these guys and lady? Wink

Needs some more listening (first track now), but they have an album out. Ergo, if this is proggy enough, the Prog Metal  and Heavy Prog teams will once again hear from me. Smile

Bio:
The Dutch band FeedForward has been around for 5 years now, and found its own unique style. This style can best be defined as a mix between progressive rock and melodic metal. However, no classical voice parts, no bombastic choirs. Instead, recognizable vocals and subdued harmonies. Instrumentally, the melodic base is broadened by influences from progressive metal and symphonic rock. In spite of the high level of musicianship and sometimes complex song arrangements, the songs are accessible for a large audience. Key roll in this is female vocalist Bianca. With her clear voice she speaks to the attention of a lot of people, also those which are not familiar with the genre.

Having released 3 demo's, FeedForward has managed to build up a considerable fanbase in the south of the Netherlands. This shows by the concerts, with the number of visitors steadily increasing every time. FeedForward played many gigs in the past years, with especially worth mentioning gigs in large venues like 013, the Effenaar, the Bosuil (support for Enchant), Todo (support for the gathering), the Dynamo and at festivals like Paaspop Den Hout, Kempenerpop, All American Day and Cult & Tumult.

FeedForward recently released (december 2006) a full length CD containing 10 songs, titled “Barefoot & Naked”. This CD shows the many sides of FeedFoward’s music. “Barefoot & Naked” contains catchy rock songs, progressive pieces, pounding metal, but also epic songs and even a piano ballad.

The on-stage performance full of energy and intensity accentuates the power of the songs. The authenticity makes them credible..............A band appreciated for their music!

Definitely. I'm proposing them to Prog Metal and Heavy Prog at this very moment. Thanks a lot for finding them Jared. I'll try to go their Eindhoven gig on Janary 19th, just to see them live and hopefully meet the band. Thumbs%20Up

(They scored 8/10 on DPRP and 9/10 on Prog-Nose with the album!)

Short summary for now: great singer, nice melodic metal - and definitely worth a place in PA.

Thanks Guigo. Just got a message from the band: if PMT accept them we are free to use the bio and photo I posted above for the inclusion.

If time allows, I'll be seeing them live at Dynamo Eindhoven on January 19th, and I'm 'invited' for a little chat with the band.

LOL You're the best, Jared. But please make sure you order the album and review it once the band gets added. Wink

Well, they're not exactly my cup of tea, but I did find those songs quite enjoyable in their own way. However, I think they might be more suitable for addition in Prog-Metal than in Heavy Prog. I'll submit them to David anyway, and see what he thinks.

I posted the link in our HP team thread, but I think David will express the same opinion as I have. No harm in getting a second team's opinion, though.

Just came up with another idea here. Sunpath (included out of Unsigned Bands earlier this month) asked me for venues to play in the Netherlands, and bands that they could team up with in order to arrange that. Let's see if I can work that out...

Even better, they have been added. Thumbs%20Up

And they confirmed that the cooperation with Sunpath is going to happen in the not too distant future. Ideas for concerts in The Netherlands and Germany are being converted into plans.

Going to bump this one one more time. I went to a live performance of Dutch bands Carthago, Feedforward and Sun Caged yesterday (performance review will be published in the forums by the end of this week). What needs mention thoug is that:

Feedforward is working on a distribution deal for Europe and America, which they expect will result in a re-release of Barefoot & Naked later this year. Clap
