I find every track to be brilliant and consistent in quality, but I think Depuis L' Autumne may be my favorite. I just worship that mellotron+ echoed acoustic guitar instrumental section and that joyous sing-a-long ending.

What a perfect album! And Depuis L'automne is the top of their perfection

What if you had listened to Si On Avait backwards first time through?
Maybe I did...Histoires Sans Paroles for me.

It never crossed my mind. Is the album improved that way?

^ I've never really done it on purpose. My iTunes hates me/I am really challenged with computers sometimes, so I've done it for a couple albums by accident without noticing.

Histoire Sans Paroles. If you never heard their third album, "L'Heptade", I would recommend you to do so! The song "Comme un Fou" is symphonic prog at it's best!

En Pleine Face might be the most beautiful thing I have ever heard. An under appreciated gem.

I gotta say Vert, I think it was the first song I heard by them as well. Their short songs are just sublime.

Hard to tell. I only own "Cinquieme saison" ( and that's enough for me ) and I cannot tell the songs apart. Not bad, but it lacks something ( nerve, a rockier feeling ? ) for my taste. The lack of drums doesn't help, either. Anyway, I'll vote for the long closing track.

pour un instant from their first album. It's an anthem for quebec in the 70s, a beautiful folk song

Which track in this cd is bad? It is almost perfect! I eliminate "En plein face", but the others remain!
Ok, ok, let's say Histoires sans paroles, right?
(I add that Dixie is technically perfect, and Depuis L'Automne is saaaad. Love it, really)

Depuis L'automne. I listened to it the night my grandfather passed away, and I thought I would never be able to listen to it again.
One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard, especially the second half.

This album is pure beauty. It does great honours to Quebec culture.
1. Depuis L'Automne
2. Histoire Sans Paroles
3. Dixie
4. Vert
5. En Pleine Face
But they're all great...

Depuis L'automne for me.
I even get chills down my spine when I play it on guitar! Beautiful song from start to finish.
