Since Big Hairy Monster is trying to decide on packaging for our debut release "View", we look to you for guidance in making our decision. Let us know what you think! Also, include what you like and don't like about the various formats.

I prefer digipaks on the whole, providing you can get the CD out without getting your fingers all over it.

Standard jewel case - it's so easy to replace it.
Mini LPs and digipacks are nice. The only problem with digipack - sometimes trays can be broken.

Digipacks are too fragile overall and they don't stand straight in de cd-drawer. Hence, normal jewelcases for me.

I voted the mini-lps
But I prefer jewel case to digipack. If the prongs are broken, you can replace the tray
and the cardboard of digipack can get scratched? Mini-lps, ythere are protection sleeves.

Mini LP for sure. If that had been the standard rather than jewel, my collection wouldn't take up so much space. I have hard floors and can't tell you the number of jewel cases I have messed up. Even if they're well packed for shipping I way too often get damaged cases.  Jewel cases are pure evil, I say.

I like the more retro, "warm" feel of the cardboard.  It evokes fond memories of the old LPs, and doesn't break if dropped. Classy and less generic! 
More artists seem to be opting for them, especially older acts. The last Tom Petty, and the recent Plant & Krauss are good examples of this stylish, pleasant-to-touch packaging. 
I think that's a "digipak"? Cardboard with a thin plastic tray glued to the inside? (I prefer those to the all-cardboard ones -- it's easier to remove the disc without touching the playing surface.)

Although I love the look and feel of the digipack, the tray can be broken. So it's standard jewel case for me due to the ease of replacement if needed.

God, I HATE that! Or when they fall apart right after you open them! I like Digipaks, I just think they're a little nicer than standard jewel cases (not all the time though).

I liked digi-pak best until I got a couple mini-lp sleeves: Semeranis and Area's Maledetti. Pretty freakin' sweet.
And yes, I am absolutely sick of jewel cases breaking in transit.

How do you stack digipacks or organize them properly? They're a nuisance.
They're just an example of record companies trying to save 3 sents by defrauding the consumer with vulnerable pieces of paper.
