Hey there,

I'd like to recomend my slightly different progressive band - the only band having a comic artist as a band member

for those who are interested in prog-rock with lots of acoustic attitude:

THE EVIL SEAGULLS

We are even on rank 5 in the Classic and Progressive Rock Charts at Indipendant Artist Company

The direct download links are as follows

She came along like the wind blows on a sunny day - progressive version

Dream On

Eclipse

She came along like the wind blows on a sunny day - unplugged

Mark - this is simply amazing. An acoustic progressive rock band to appear on this forum.
First of all, the tracks are nice  and laid back, which is refreshing in the shower of metal and heavy rock influenced bands of the past 15 years. The vocals sometimes remind me of a certain person going by the name of Wildschwein (Grobschnitt), but the first few lines of She came along in the progressive version (with a nice guitar solo!) could've been sang the Moody Blues singer. Dream On is a brilliant atmospheric track - well done! Eclipse is a bit different (more keyboard work) from the other two, but is a nice and dreamy track never the less.

Clap

You're welcome, Mark - keep us posted on new material.

As for spreading the word: this forum may help you, and I'm trying to get some progressive related record companies interested in either checking this forum or receiving regular hints from us to interesting bands. Any other ways you would like to see?

Musical Box: I wish I'd been there. I be missing the gig in Brussels this weekend as well.

I'd say they either 1) changed their minds due to huge responses, 2) were misunderstood in meaning that this would be the last Selling... tour, or least likely 3) they are selling out like Genesis themselves supposedly did Wink
I put the dates on my calendar - thanks for letting me/us know!

It turns out I missed this here in the unsigned bands section.  Well anyways, I still love the tunes, I'm finally getting a chance to listen to them in my good speakers (compared to my bad computer ones) and it all sounds great.

I agree with what Angelo said, it's nice to hear this nice acoustic stuff amid the "shower of metal and heavy rock" bands, even though I myself am guilty of being a part of that shower Embarrassed.

Mark, I did have a look at the video a while ago. It fits the music - and my opinion of the music! Clap

hey, that would be nice

but...who would pay to bring all the musicians together into a studio - remember, the bass playser comes from the states - one of the keyboarders from swizerland, the rest spread allover germany

by the way - we've released a new song - sounds mor like progressive ambient electronic - from our new swiss member ANTARES

Stardust feat. ANTARES
